Its ability to cause polarization of the internal mitochondrial membranes in the blood cells of biomodels, leading to their activation and more intensive energy production (RU Patent No. 2765467) has been proven. The greatest effect appears after 24 hours and lasts up to three weeks after a single injection of the drug.

Activation of mitochondria has been detected in various cell populations and depends on the time after injection of the drug. The greatest effect is manifested in monocytes in the early stages, and later — in lymphocytes.

In our opinion, the possibility of activating mitochondria and a possible reduction in mutations in mitochondrial DNA is a key point that allows for a significant increase in the lifespan of mammals in the future.

Key words: mitochondria,
